For all its ups and downs, I feel Arrow did a pretty good job with the season finale. I’m actually looking forward to next season.

Awe- thank you hon *huggles*. I’m really happy that you do. I do feel very down at the moment cause I’m so close to moving out of home for the first time, and my life mentally is on hold- it’s such a hamper on me creatively and I’m really upset that I can’t put my full effort into my art all the time cause these creative moments are so few and far between right now :( I use to have a turn over of a picture a night but I’m lucky to do a picture in 2 weeks right now T.T I feel like I don’t have anything to give fans as I am right now. Any support people give right now is really awesome to help me get through this dry patch till I move. I do like to know if I make people happy with my art TuT Tumblr’s fav and run system does whittle my artistic confidence thin :(

I hear you, man. I hear you. Stress is a big damper on the artistic process, and it’s even harder when you aren’t sure how much people enjoy your work. I always find myself thrilled when anyone says anything about my drawings, but it can be a real drag when I post picture after picture with no response :)

So know that at least one person out there loves your artwork and can’t wait to see more! Take your time, though. Do what you gotta do to get your life back on track. I’ll be watching expectantly!

Honestly, I adore all your GL art. I especially adore anything Kyle-related, but you are really, really good. Since I started following you, I’ve loved seeing your drawings :)

I guess what I’m curious is what kind of direction you think she should go? I can totally see the weeb in her ;-) But I am wondering sort of…if you ditch everything but the heterochromia and time travel, you have a pretty blank slate. So what else do you want to work with?

I don’t want her to be an import, I guess is what I’m trying to say. The original thing of her ethnicity was OHEMGEE YOU GUYS I NEED TO HAVE A JAPANESE CHARACTER I NEED TO, but her origin makes no sense. Was there really that big of an orphan shortage in Greece that the couple that was adopting her (and dying for their trouble) had to fly all the way to Japan to do it? Then there’s her death and rebirth. I kind of understand what I was going for, but in the end, Fuyu didn’t learn anything from the experience. She fucking killed herself to save her friends from a delicious death, but then they just brought her back and that fixed everything. I don’t think I ever addressed the mental and emotional trauma making a decision like that in an instant would have on a 16 year old girl.

I guess if I was going to start over from scratch, I’d say screw it and make her Greek. More plausible. Maybe she’s from a fishing family, and a storm destroys their boat, and she winds up on Aletulio as a child. As for the time travel thing, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll ditch that too in favor of her Siren powers, though I was riding home last night and I had this really good idea for a story about how she keeps doing mini time jumps, but she doesn’t know that’s what’s going on, so she thinks she’s just blacking out for hours at a time. Meanwhile, there’s a serial killer in her town that always seems to strike when she can’t remember, and…yeah, you see where I’m going with that.

I just have a lot of ideas all the time, Dom.

Honestly, it sounds to me like you’re on your way to making her a much more solid character ;) You seem to know what needs to be there to make her more realistic, so I think just starting with that will take you places.

Time travel can totally work (Quantum Leap, Doctor Who, Booster Gold just to name a few), so I say keep it.
